2016考研英语：核心词汇(43)

常规单词积累一定要集中在2016考研英语复习的前期，否则到了复习后期无论是2016考研英语阅读的复习还是翻译的复习，都会遇到困难。同时，单词记忆不能只记中文释义，要掌握其常见用法、固定搭配，并且在能力范围内利用词根触类旁通。2016考研英语对于词汇的考查主要体现在考生“同义替换”的能力上，也就是考查考生对于语言多样性的把握，所以考生在背单词的时候一定要掌握单词的同义词。

variable

a.易变的，可变的;变量的 n.变量

【例】Charcoal here implies a component with variable properties, not a specific chemical.木炭是一种具有可变性质而不是特定性质的化学药品。

【构词】vari(改变)+-able→能改变的→可变的

【同义替换】changeable, mobile, unstable, liquid
