吴正茂,男,博士,教授,博士生导师。出生于江西省婺源县,江西余干人,民革党员。本科、硕士和博士均毕业于四川大学。现为 “非线性光纤光学”重庆高校市级重点实验室主任,重庆市第二届学术技术带头人。主要社会兼职情况:九届、十届全国青联委员(2000-2010);二届、三届、四届重庆市政协委员;西南大学校学术委员会委员;民革西南大学总支部主委;西南大学工会兼职副主席等。
长期从事光通信、非线性光学、激光物理与激光技术等方面的教学和科研工作。已主持或主研国家及省部级相关科研项目10多项;在国内外学术刊物上发表学术论文200余篇,其中被SCI、EI、ISTP等国际三大检索系统收录150余篇。主要承担激光原理、光纤通信、半导体激光、光混沌通信等课程的教学任务。
